THE MATHS, MADE CLEAR

How it works

A positive adjusted margin wins, zero pushes and a negative margin loses. A push returns the stake. Quarter lines split into the adjacent half-goal lines: −0.25 becomes 0 and −0.5; +0.75 becomes +0.5 and +1. Both halves keep the original decimal price.

Adjusted margin = selected team goals − opponent goals + handicap

A worked example

Home team wins 2–1 at −0.75, with 100 units at 1.90. Split 50 units on −0.5 and 50 on −1. The first half wins and returns 95; the second pushes and returns 50. Total return: 145. Net profit: 45. This is a half win.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Asian Handicap FAQs

What does a half loss mean?+

One half of the stake loses while the other half is refunded. For 100 units on −0.25 in a draw, 50 units return and the net loss is 50.

Does this include extra time?+

Enter the score for the period specified by your market. Many football markets settle on regulation time including stoppage time, but your bookmaker’s terms control.

What is not covered?+

Abandoned matches, dead heats, commission, taxes, in-play score adjustments and operator-specific rounding are not modelled. This is a two-way goal handicap settlement tool.
